There is a massive Whole Foods (maybe the biggest one I've ever seen) about a block away. The 5PM complementary happy hour included hors d'oeuvres and local beer in addition to the usual wine. The room was spacious and quiet the decor is a little more subdued than usual for Kimpton Hotels but still very hip and modern. There are tons of great restaurants nearby, including their own Citizen Rail (I had a delicious brunch there). This is the newer of the two Kimpton hotels in downtown Denver both have convenient locations, with Monaco in the more established/older Mall area further downtown, but this one is steps away from the newly redone Union Station in a very new, stylish, modern, slightly quieter area of town. I'm not sure what that's to cover.perhaps the free wifi (which was great), the use of the car (which was never available), the use of their 2 bikes? I think I'd investigate other options if returning to Denver. There is an additional $20 per day amenities fee. We also asked for recommendations to travel and the desk staff, while pleasant, weren't very knowledgeable. I read previously there was wine/happy hour but we never saw it. We tried to use the car service but it was always unavailable due to others using it or it was charging. Nice large shower and private water closet. It's close to the train line and Mall bus so getting around without a car is fairly easy (of course, dependent on where you want to travel). The location can't be beat and was the most convenient for our stay.
